OHF CEO Craig Gribble made his first official visit to Papua New Guinea in the last week of March.

The visit objectives were to:

1 Meet with partners, both hockey and organisations involved in the Hook in4 Health Program

2 Meeting with Hin4H Staff and visiting our community to see their delivery in action

3 To facilitate a development workshop for participants of both PNGHF and Port Moresby Hockey

4 To establish a positive working relationship with Port Moresby Hockey as the largest Association in the country

5 To create more visibility and promotion to the sport of Hockey

Craig was accompanied by Hook in4 Health Program Manager Gill Gemming whose knowledge of the key players and locations enabled meetings to be set up prior to arrival. The stakeholders visited over the first two days included: the Australian High Commission, Team Up and PNG Family Health Association.

The Development Workshop organised by Port Moresby Hockey was well attended with 26 participants. The topics covered included: Governance, Roles and Responsibilities, Safeguarding, Competitions, Hook in4 Health, and Officiating. The workshop concluded with a Q and A session which enabled the participants to ask any questions which would help them to participate or deliver Hockey to their members. This was very interactive and could have continued on well into the evening! Thanks to Port Moresby Hockey especially Lucy Francis and Tiani Tapo for their assistance in setting up the workshop and arranging the venue.
