Hook in4 Health

The Hook in4 Health Program goal is for communities in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to “Live Well, Learn Well, and Lead Well” through Hockey. 

The target populations are:

• Girls and Women

• People with a disability 

• Boys and Men

This is an integrated program which uses hockey as the platform to engage with participants to increase knowledge and skills to make informed choices about health and wellbeing while reducing barriers for play.

Hook in4 Health Program in Action

Team Up is the Australian Government’s Sport for Development program in the Asia/Pacific region.

Hook in4 Health is one of 35 partnerships under Team Up.

Oceania Hockey is the lead organisation in Hin4H. They gain expertise from others to ensure the resourcing of knowledge for the program is up-to-date and effective.

Key partners are:

• National Federations – Australia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu
• Flinders University – Dr K Jackson, Nutrition
• Health Organisations – PNG Family Health Association, SIPPA and Wan Smolbag
