Kirsty Coventy of Zimbabwe has been elected as the new President for the International Olympic Committee.

Kirsty is the first female president in IOC history to be elected, and the first from Africa. At 41, she is the youngest ever to be appointed in this role. She will officially take up the role on June 24, after incumbent Thomas Bachs stands down after his 12 year stint.
