This funding initiative provides seed financial support to groups and individuals with new and radical solutions derived from community-based needs. Groups and individuals are selected by a committee made up of experts in women’s rights, feminist activism, and sport from the Pacific.

Oceania Hockey Federation together with Solomon Islands Hockey Federation, successfully applied for assistance under the above fund's criteria for safe transport for the female National squad members and the costs of hiring Woodford International School's facilities for national squad training and games. this gave clean toilets and changing faciliteis for the female players, coaches and officials.

There were 55 application for consideration for funding and Solomon Islands application made the top three, their video was presented at the IWG conference in Auckland.
