Olympic Day 2022

Olympic Day celebration has become a feature of the Oceania Hockey Federation wider community.
Here are some examples of the 2022 celebrations of the Olympic Ideals with this year's theme
"MOVE FOR PEACE"
In New Zealand, children from Bethlehem Primary School show respect and appreciation to their umpire at the end of their minihockey game.
They also showed friendship, respect and appreciation to the team they played against with the now familiar tapping of sticks
In Papua New Guinea the pupils at Kaugere School were divided into 5 colour teams representing the colours of the Olympic rings and then they took part in 5 different sports to try them all out, hockey being one of those sports. In Australia Olympic Day on the 23rd of June is about celebrating the power of sport to bring people together in peace.
Whether it's having a hit on the pitch with friends or shaking hands with an opponent before or after a game... #MoveForPeace is about whatever peace means to you through sport and activity.
Tonga: The National Hockey Squads came together to celebrate Olympic Day by playing games at the Olympic Committee Office .
Solomon Islands: Winky Yee, in the forground, catches the participants at the prizegiving, who have been experiencing different sports (including hockey) as they celebrated Olympic Day.
Olympic Day 2022 has been well acknowledged throughout Oceania. the theme of #Move for Peace one which resonates in every country.
