On the 18th of October both groups came together with a positive approach to ensure that Hockey was part of the Games and that Solomon Islands was able to be recognised by the Games Council, as having an International Federation affiliated body, to allow their players to participate and represent the Solomon Islands at their own Games.

A positive discussion was held with both groups (as seen in the photo) putting forward their respective views on the situation. It was agreed that the two groups would join together under the current affiliated Federation and that the President of the other body Samson Aegnari would be co-opted onto the executive board with Winki Yee remaining as the President, and Patteson Akipu as the Secretary General.

Gill Gemming as OHF representative chaired the meeting and agreed that OHF would provide SIHF a new organisational structure diagram complete with job descriptions for all office holders and committee members. THese will be in place and operational before the next planned AGM.
