Team Up had introduced the Folktale App to all the sports early in the year but held a major workshop on Monday June 20, to introduce Folktale changes making it easier for everyone to use out in the field, particularly if they don't have wifi.

Folktale is a platform that allows anyone with a smartphone or tablet to create a video story by following a template and prompts on screen. The user films the shots of the type and duration indicated in the template, and Folktale edits the shots together automatically to create a video. Team Up uses Folktale to support our partners to easily create video stories for media and communications use (publication) and for monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL) purposes.

The workshop finished with a recognition of the best use of Folktale  over the past six months. Vanuatu was nominated twice and Papua New Guinea once. Congratulations to Nasse Maltungtung as he won the Best Profile Category and Lola Ilumpui gained a nomination in the Most Improved Production Category.
