The Runway 4 Performance Camp coincided with the Select Sports Director Lange Forkgen's annual visit to Tauranga to connect with Brent Edwards at the Go Hockey Outlet. Lance and Brent visited the camp and were introduced to the participants with OHF Secretary General, David Peebles acknowledging Lance's huge contribution to providing both donated and heavily subsidised to the Pacfic Island's Hockey Federations over more than 20 years.   

Lance was so taken with the objectives of the camp that he rang to ask for the participants to come down to the Go Hockey shop where they were each able to select a stick and bag to take home. This was an amazing offer and the excitement could be seen in their faces with some participants being moved to tears as they had never had their own stick or bag. Brent Edwards (Go Hockey Director) had earlier in the week provided three sticks to support those participants who did not have their own. Previously National Federations bought team sticks but these were owned by the federation and had to be returned.

As a result of Lance and Brent's discussion with the group a special session was organised on the last day where each NA group worked together to provide a list of equipment that they desparately needed for their upcoming events in 2023. These lists will form the basis for the OHF Board to organise an equipment shipment to each NA by the beginning of July.
